Edmonton Home Renovations | Alpha-Omega Developments
Full home renovations that transform older Edmonton homes and new purchases into spaces that live better, look better, and add real long-term value. One in-house Red Seal crew, start to finish.
A renovation is more than new floors and fresh walls. Done right, it changes how your home lives every day and how much it is worth when the time comes to sell. We take on the renovations that actually move that needle.
Who we work with
New Homeowners
updating before moving in
You bought a home that has potential, and you want it brought up to standard before you move in. Full home renovation of floors, walls, wiring, layout. All handled while the space is empty so you walk into a home that is already yours.
Long-Time Homeowners
older home overhauls
You have lived in your home for years and the house is finally telling you it is time for a renovation. Concentrated across Montrose, Beverly, Rundle, Capilano, Forest Heights, Bonnie Doon, Highlands, Hazeldean, Holyrood, Ritchie, and many other areas with older homes.
The real return on home renovations
A Home That Lives Better
Walls move. Hallways widen. Rooms get the light, the flow, and the layout they should have had from day one. The way you actually use your home stops fighting how it was built.
Value That Holds at Resale
Updated electrical, modern insulation, current flooring, and proper finishing all show up at appraisal and in the listing. Older Edmonton homes especially gain real ground when the work is done by certified trades.
A Home That Stops Costing You Extra
Aluminum wiring that worried your insurance. Insulation that has not done its job in decades. Subfloors that creak under every step. The right renovation fixes the things quietly costing you in heating bills, maintenance, and resale anxiety.

A post-WWII Edmonton home, brought forward 70 years
A client purchased an older Edmonton home and brought us in before they moved in. Original construction included aluminum wiring, original lath and plaster walls throughout, and a hallway that had never been properly framed between the bedrooms.
The scope started with flooring and walls and grew naturally once demo opened things up.
By handover, the home had a fully rewired main floor, restructured hallway, new insulation throughout, level subfloors with no squeaks, and flooring that ran clean across the main floor and into the kitchen. It looked and lived like a new build while keeping the character of the neighbourhood it sat in.
Scope of Work
- Full main floor demolition
- Wall restructure for proper hallway and bedroom access
- Complete electrical rewire with troubleshooting
- New insulation, drywall, mud and tape
- Subfloor levelling and squeak elimination
- New flooring across the main floor and into the kitchen
- Prep through to paint-ready surfaces

Frequently asked questions
How much does an Edmonton home renovation cost?
Main floor updates typically run $25,000 to $45,000. Full older-home overhauls run $60,000 to $120,000 or more depending on scope. Every renovation is line-item quoted after a walkthrough so you see exactly what your money is going to.
How long will I be living through construction?
A main floor update typically runs 3 to 6 weeks. A full older-home renovation runs 8 to 14 weeks. Most clients either renovate before moving in or stay through the work depending on scope. We talk through this during the walkthrough.
Do you handle the electrical work yourselves?
Yes. Josh holds a Red Seal in electrical and runs the electrical scope on every renovation directly. Aluminum wiring remediation, rewires, new circuits, service upgrades. No second contractor.
Will my renovation actually add value when I sell?
While anything is possible, updated electrical, modern insulation, and properly finished walls and floors are going to add value to the next buyer of your home. We are not a flip-and-go renovation company, the work is done to a standard that holds up at inspection and at resale.
Will you pull the permits?
Yes. Electrical, building, and plumbing permits when required are part of the scope.
